We started Sovely because we were angry.
Angry at plastic. Angry at greenwashing. Angry that nobody seemed to be doing anything about it.
It started on a beach.
In 2024, we picked up 47 plastic detergent bottles in one afternoon on a single stretch of beach. We went home, looked at our cleaning cupboard, and counted 6 more plastic bottles.
We asked ourselves: why are we still buying 90% water in a plastic bottle that will outlive our grandchildren? The cleaning industry had an answer: that's just how it's done. We refused to accept that.
That was the moment. We knew we had to build something better.
